Role Purposes:
1. Market & Consumer Intelligence (50%)
- Lead consumer and market insights projects leveraging internal data, syndicated reports, and custom research to deepen understanding of market landscape and distributor/consumer behavior.
- Connect internal sales and behavioral data with external research findings to generate holistic business insights.
- Identify and analyze market trends, category shifts, and competitive dynamics to inform brand strategies and product portfolio planning.
- Design and manage in-house market research studies to address specific business needs and support strategy formulation - often when main targets are distributors
- Work with agency in designing and managing market research studies to address specific business needs and support strategy formulation - often when main targets are mass consumers
2. Business Insight Generation (40%)
- Work with in-house Data Analyst team in analyzing and interpreting business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Work with in-house Data Analyst team in visualizing outcomes using dashboards, reports, and presentations tailored to different stakeholder needs.
- Synthesize findings into clear and compelling stories for senior management, highlighting business implications and recommendations.
- Define and develop suitable analytical and statistical approaches to review performance, evaluate initiatives, and measure KPI effectiveness.
3. Strategic Planning Support (10%)
- Partner with other functions to understand business objectives and how to deliver customized data analysis and insights.
- Translate business needs into data requirements and work with analysts to develop suitable approach in data mining and analysis.
- Lead and manage complex analytical or strategic insight projects from scoping through delivery, ensuring relevance and actionable outcomes.
- Support Line Manager during planning period through scenario-based analysis and insights that support decision-making and business prioritization.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong English proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; solid working knowledge of Power BI and MySQL.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and visualizing data/content to support decision-making.
- Strong capability in data visualization, storytelling, and presentations.
- Hands-on experience working with databases and systems to connect, analyze, and generate insights.
- Ability to synthesize business data, market data, and behavioral insights to deliver end-to-end analysis
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of blended experience, including 5+ years in market research methodologies (both qualitative & quantitative) and 2+ years in in-house CMI/Data Analysis, preferably within health/nutrition, F&B, or direct-selling industries.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, or related fields.
